The Sanctuary Journey follows the Medicine Wheel of Life, the natural cycle every woman moves through, season after season, year after year.
It is held in two seasonal journeys.
The Emergence | Spring and Summer: The outward movement of new growth, expression, and rooted knowing.
The Descent | Fall and Winter: The inward movement of release, listening, and truth.
Each journey stands fully on its own. You can begin with whichever season is opening next. Together, they form a complete cycle. Without descent, there is nothing true to bring forward. Without emergence, what you found in the dark has nowhere to grow.
Stay for as long as you feel you belong here. Women return to walk the wheel again and again. Each turn goes deeper than the last.
THE EMERGENCE | Spring and Summer 2027

The Emergence is the outward arc of the wheel. It is light, forward moving, and grounded in your everyday life. We aren't digging deeper into the wound here. We're learning how to move with what has already been shaped..
We begin by STANDING IN THE EASTGATE | Spring Session
Awakening What Wants to Grow - April 17 to June 26, 2027
Something is stirring. We begin by noticing it, naming it, and preparing the ground. You'll plant a small Living Garden, two or three plants chosen for what they mean to you, and tend it as your own growth unfolds. You'll practice small forward movements, like making the call, setting the boundary, or starting the thing you've been putting off. And you'll begin your Medicine Spirit Doll as an expression of what is coming alive in you. Growth isn't forced. It's tended.
Archetypal Guides you will explore in the Eastgate
Rainbow Woman is the full spectrum of who you are, all the colors and contradictions that don't fit neatly in one box. She is joy with wings, and she teaches that expression is holy. Her lesson for this season: expression needs grounding.
The Reclaimer is sacred fire. She burns what is false so that what is true can breathe. She is clarity, honesty, and the courage to stop making yourself smaller. Her lesson for this season: truth needs steadiness.

THE SOUTHGATE | Summer Session
Rooted Knowing, and Tending Without Giving Yourself Away - July 10 to September 25, 2027
Eastgate asks you to bloom and be seen. Southgate asks something new. Now that you're visible, can you stay rooted in your own knowing? Can you tend what you've grown without giving yourself away in the tending?
The South carries its own medicine: summer, fire, the color red, Coyote, and the teachings of emotion, creativity, boundaries, and the trickster as teacher. Through the season you'll carry a Hedge Bundle, a small gathering of found objects that grows as you learn what you're rooting into. And at the height of summer, you'll learn to receive the harvest of what you planted in spring.

The Hedge Witch lives at the edge. She trusts her quiet power and doesn't wait for permission.
The Great Nurturer teaches tending as presence instead of depletion. She shows you how to care for others without abandoning yourself.

THE DESCENT | Fall and Winter
Release, clarity, and returning to your true Self.
The next Descent begins in October 2027. Enrollment opens in summer 2027.
The Descent is the inward arc of the wheel. It is where truth surfaces, clarity begins to form, and something more honest starts to take root. Some of it feels heavy. Some of it feels like relief. Both belong here.
WESTGATE | Fall Session: Composting, Clarity, and Courage
Life asks you to see clearly what you've been carrying. To set down what is no longer yours to hold. To loosen your grip on what is finished, even when it still feels familiar. The darkness here is a place of listening.
Skeleton Woman has walked through loss and sat with shadows. She transforms loss into medicine, and she holds the threshold between who you were and who you are becoming.
The Thread Weaver is the pattern-seer. She gathers the scattered threads of your story and listens until the shape appears.
NORTHGATE | Winter Session: Steadiness, Integration, and Holding What Is True
What Westgate revealed, Northgate teaches you to hold. With steadiness. With grace. With an inner spine strong enough to stay present inside what is true. Women return again and again to its teachings on finding your North Star and living in Holy Order.
The Bone Keeper walks slowly so nothing gets forgotten. She asks what is solid enough to build from.
Medicine Woman listens in silence. She reminds you that medicine is often about remembering and returning to what is already whole within you.

At the heart of every season is your Medicine Spirit Doll. She isn't a craft project. She isn't a decoration. She is a mirror.
Across cultures and centuries, women have made figures from what the earth offered them. Cloth and clay. Bone and wool. Root and fiber. As a way of saying: this is what I'm carrying. This is what I'm releasing. This is who I'm becoming.
She is faceless by design. She isn't yours to define in advance. She's yours to meet. She takes on the face, the energy, and the meaning of the woman who makes her. No two are ever the same, because no two women are the same.
Inside the Sanctuary, your Medicine Spirit Doll comes to life through any medium of your choice. Many choose to needle felt and find a great sense of calm and clarity as the wool is shaped slowly into form. It is quiet work, repetitive in the way prayer is repetitive. Women often find that what shifts for them happens while they're making her.
You don't need any felting experience. Step-by-step video tutorials guide you through every stage. A Deluxe Medicine Doll Felting Kit is available separately for women in the United States, and a full materials list is provided for everyone else.
If needle felting isn't your medium, you're warmly welcome here. Women have brought their Medicine Dolls to life through painting, sculpting, stitching, collage, and mixed media.

TALKING CIRCLES
You don't walk this alone. Each week during the season, we gather in the Sanctuary Talking Circle. We don't gather to fix anything. We gather to witness. You speak what is true. You listen without interruption. You're seen without anyone trying to change you. Attendance is optional, and every circle is recorded. Listening is participation. Silence is welcome.
A SOLO JOURNEY AND A SHARED SPACE
This is your work, and no one can do it for you. Some women walk the Sanctuary Journey as a deeply personal solo pilgrimage, watching the circle recordings in their own time. Others come to every circle and find their people there. Over the past three years, a core community of women has formed here and it’s truly special.
We call it the Sanctuary Circle. These women have witnessed one another through life transitions, formed lasting friendships, and created a space of warmth and presence together. The journey works from anywhere in the world. Lessons live on a private online platform, and recordings are posted after every gathering.

MEET YOUR GUIDE

I didn't set out to become a Medicine Dollmaker. I set out to find myself.
The doll came as part of that. She was a mirror and a messenger, the part of me that knew things I wasn't yet ready to say out loud. I made my first Medicine Doll over sixteen years ago, and I haven't stopped since. For more than twenty years I've held circles for women, in person, in workshops, in retreats, and now online.
What I've witnessed again and again is women remembering themselves.
The Council of Eight is the archetypal framework at the heart of this journey and it grew out of all those years of sitting in circle with women.
I'm not here to fix you. My role is to hold the space, ask the questions that matter, and stay steady while you find your own answers. The answers don't live in my courses or my archetypes or my dolls. They live in you.
I walk this work beside you, and I walk it myself. I'm a full-time caregiver for my husband as we navigate Alzheimer's dementia together. The Sanctuary Journey has been my own lifeline through it. The work I share with you is the same work I do every day, and the person it helps most is me.
I'm also a self-described quantum physics geek. I believe that when a woman meets her archetypes and something inside her reorganizes, the way she sees her life changes, and so does the way she lives it. That is why the Medicine Spirit Doll matters so much. She is where that change becomes something you can hold.

Do I need to walk both journeys?

We begin together and walk together. Lessons are released through the season, and the circles grow from the women walking it side by side.
Can I begin before enrollment opens?

Do I need prior experience with needle felting?
No. Many women in the Sanctuary Journey had never felted before. Beginner-friendly, No artistic pressure. Step-by-step tutorials guide you through every stage of your Medicine Spirit Doll. Magical surprises guaranteed.
Do I need the Deluxe Felting Kit?
It's optional (but pretty awesome). The kit ships within the United States. A full materials list is included for anyone who prefers to use their own supplies or is sourcing locally.
What if I can't attend the live Talking Circles?
Attendance is always optional. Circles are held on Saturday mornings, Pacific Time, and every one is recorded and posted inside the course.
I'm outside the United States. Can I join?
Yes, fully. The journey lives online, and women walk it from all over the world.
How much time will this take?
Most women spend thirty to forty minutes a week with the core lessons. I intentionally drip them out slowly so as not to overwhelm. The rest happens naturally in your days.
Do you offer refunds?
Because the Sanctuary Journey is a digital experience with immediate access, refunds are not offered. Please read carefully and trust your own sense of whether this work is right for you.
