What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is a science based approach to healthy eating by recognizing the six foundations of health:
Nutrition
Digestion
Blood Sugar
Fatty Acid Balance
Mineral Balance
Hydration
When we work together, I will assess which of these foundations are a priority focus for you to bring back into balance to enable your body to function optimally.
A Healthy Body is Essential for A Medicine Woman’s Empowerment!
As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), I believe in the personal empowerment of eating real, whole, unprocessed foods the way nature offers and intends. This is what keeps us functioning well. Your Spiritual Self-care practice and your health practice go hand in hand. It’s what keeps us physically strong, clear-minded and hormonally and emotionally balanced. My goal is to help you realize your health potentials by guiding you step by step, through your personalized nutritional and lifestyle recommendations.
The Foundations
Many of us are experiencing imbalances in any of our six foundations of nutrition, digestion, blood sugar, fatty acid balance, mineral balance and hydration. These imbalances can lead to weaknesses leading to many of today’s health problems resulting from the Standard American Diet (SAD)which relies heavily on refined and processed foods.
Nutritional Therapy can offer support for many health conditions
Digestive problems: bloating, gas, pain, heartburn, acid reflux
Blood Sugar Imbalance: sugar cravings, brain fog, fatigue, pain, insomnia, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, mood disorders
Hormonal Imbalances
Skin Problems: eczema, psoriasis, acne
Weight loss or gain
Adrenal dysfunction
Thyroid imbalances
Sleep disorders
Autoimmune/Chronic health issues
Low Immunity
Does Nutritional Therapy work for Vegetarians or Vegans?
Although I support every individuals personal choices, I do encourage adding healthy, organic, pasture-raised animal proteins into the diet. Nutritional Therapy will be helpful if you are on a vegetarian diet and are willing to add some dairy, fish and eggs (pescatarian).
My nutritional programs are not a good fit for Vegans.
